1416 - How to obtain the group GUID and account create key

When reconnecting to a backup account, you will need to enter the name of the account's backup group, as well as the account create key for the group. These can currently only be obtained from the Storage Platform Console (not from the RedApp). 

For collections created on the Console, the group name for the machine you want to reconnect may look like this: Reseller\Customer\Machines\Servers

However, collections created in the RedApp are represented by a GUID instead of a name. When reconnecting, you therefore need to enter the group's GUID and not its name. 

To obtain a group's GUID:

1. Open the Console in the Account Management view and locate the relevant group.

2. Right-click the group name and click Copy Group GUID to Clipboard.

To obtain a group's account create key (also known as the group create key):

1. Open the Console in the Account Management view and locate the relevant group.

2. Right-click the group name and go to Configure. The key will be displayed in the window that opens.
