Release notes
- Azure Virtual Machines and Azure Blob Storage:
- Backups to Redstor's cloud are now initiated by default, with no additional configuration needed.
- We now support recovery of VMs that have Azure's Trusted Launch security type selected.
- When restoring from an Azure VM snapshot to a new virtual machine, we now provide the option to set the VM’s power state (default: Off).
- We have introduced a more user-friendly process for adding Blob Storage accounts.
- We have made various enhancements to the snapshot and backup processes.
- Stability improvements to InstantData Permanent:
- We have resolved an issue where InstantData Permanent does not create stubs correctly if the user does not have the SeManageVolumePrivilege.
- We have removed removed the "My network uses a transparent proxy" option from InstantData and FSR, as it is no longer relevant.
- We have resolved various errors that occur when restoring Linux backups with InstantData Permanent.
- We have added a job status and reporting endpoint to the RedAPI. This endpoint can help you gather information about your data, such as the number and status of backup and recovery jobs, and error details in the case of failures.
- When selecting accounts for Microsoft 365 backup, we now display email addresses alongside usernames.
- You now have the option to view an estimated charge for the protection of Xero customer data, in addition to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks.
