Symptom
Customers using NAT addresses for remote servers encounter MirrorServer errors.
Cause
The following example describes the cause of these errors:
MirrorServer Local IP - 10.0.0.1
Firewall address - 41.41.41.1
The Redstor Pro settings.xml binds public and private communications on 10.0.0.1 port 443 and 8443.
On the remote site, the customer adds the MirrorServer using the NAT address, 41.41.41.1, but then encounters errors that the server cannot connect to the remote server on the private port. The error then mentions that it could not connect on 10.0.0.1:8443.
Solution
This is correct, as the remote server cannot connect to the remote server's local address. To fix, the customer needs to bind the MirrorServer's private port on 0.0.0.0, otherwise the MirrorServer will not work.
