If missing files are detected during an Integrity Check, the StorageServer can request the files from the MirrorServer. This option is off by default on the StorageServer and must be enabled using one of the following options:
A. Edit the Settings.xml
- Open the Settings.xml file located in C:\ProgramData\Attix5 Pro\SS_Service\ with Notepad.exe
- Add this line before </configuration>:
<AutoRecoverMissingFilesFromMirror>True</AutoRecoverMissingFilesFromMirror> - Save the Settings.xml file
- Repeat the above steps for each StorageServer
B. Using your browser
- Paste this link below into the address bar:
https://SS_IP:SS_port/api/system/settings?AutoRecoverMissingFilesFromMirror=true - Replace SS_IP:SS_port with your StorageServer IP and port
- Press Enter - if you get a warning about the security certificate, confirm and continue to the website
- Provide the Storage Platform Administrator username and password
- Repeat the above steps for each StorageServer
Right-click the relevant backup account from the Management Console and go to Advanced > Integrity Check > Initiate Integrity Check now. Tick the Apply Fixes box.
The StorageServer will attempt to recover the missing files from the MS and display a message in the StorageServer logs: "Trying to recover ### missing files from MirrorServer".
