488 - How to set the socket timout on the Storage Platform

Edit the settings.xml file in the \SS_Service or \AS_Service folder on the Storage Platform, add the following two lines and save:

<ReceiveTimeout>60000</ReceiveTimeout>
<SendTimeout>60000</SendTimeout>

The timeout value is in milliseconds, so 60 000 = 1 minute.

This can be done while the service is running.
