Redstor does not currently support direct backup of Google shared drives. However, it is possible to configure an individual user's Google Drive to mimic the behaviour of a shared drive, which allows for secure backups through Redstor's cloud portal.
To backup a shared drive, we recommend taking the following steps:
1. Create a new Google account (or pick an existing one) to be used as the central account for Redstor backup purposes.
2. Copy all files from the shared drive into this central account's Google Drive. The relevant files can then be shared from this account as needed.
3. In the Redstor cloud portal, under Google Drive, add the central account to the backup selection. (See Article 1292 for instructions.)
4. Run a backup immediately if you wish to do so.
