How to start a Redstor Pro backup snapshot
Step 1, Install the Pro Client as normal, create an account supplying the account name, password and encryption key.
Step 2, Select the data that you wish to protect. (It may be worth hitting the size button to check the size of the backup payload at this point.)
Step 3, Plug-in a USB disk onto the server or present as a Network share.
Step 4, Within the Redstor Backup Client drop down menu, Choose Tools, Snapshot and then Export Backup Snapshot.
Step 5, Enable "The next backup mus be a Snapshot backup". Tick the “Force a full backup” to send all data from the client. Point the location to the USB or Network share and then hit the “Backup Now” button.
Step 6, Once the snapshot backup has finished, check the backup logs for any warning or errors.
Please note that the Backup Account will then become “Disabled” and will report an error on any scheduled backups until the Snapshot as been uploaded into our Redstor datacentre by the Redstor Management console.

Import the snapshot from the Redstor Management Console - see FAQ 1083.
Once the import has completed the Backup account with automatically be re-enabled and normal incremental backups with start.
