If our Insight feature is enabled on a Group, a Scan button will be displayed on the toolbar in the Agents in that Group.
- Alternatively, a scan can be run using File > Scan.
- Our Profiling functionality boasts two new features:
- Profiling will now expand inclusions that contain %DRIVES% for all local drives on Windows.
For example, %DRIVES%/SomeFolder for a system with physical drives C, D, and E will expand to the following inclusions:- C:\SomeFolder
- D:\SomeFolder
- E:\SomeFolder
- A warning will now be logged in the Agent if a profiled inclusion contains a wildcard character (*), which is not allowed. For more information, see FAQ 1143.
- Profiling will now expand inclusions that contain %DRIVES% for all local drives on Windows.
-
To assist customers in investigating access-related issues, the Agent logs will now show which user the service was running as when a task or issue occurred.
Example: At 15:39:22 when a manual backup was started, the Agent was running as JACQUESLAPTOP$, i.e. the local user on the machine JACQUESLAPTOP. - When a VSS snapshot is created during a backup, a list of all available VSS providers will be logged to assist in troubleshooting and support. If a specific provider has been selected for use via Tools > Options > Advanced, this will be indicated.
-
InstantData is now accessible from the toolbar when the Restore tab is open.
- Important notice: To allow us to implement valuable customer feedback, we will be suspending support for Oracle RMAN until further notice.
Control Centre (available for preview)
- A new card shows which machines currently contain stale data, i.e. data that has not been accessed in 12 months or more.
- To assist with space management, there is also a new card which shows volumes that are nearing capacity.
- A third new card shows the most common file extensions present on every machine, sorted by number of files.
Storage Platform
- It is now possible to set a default account size when configuring a Collection. This size will also be used as the default account size when creating a Group within this Collection.
Storage Platform Console
- To accommodate our ever-growing list of new features, there is now a Features tab in the configuration dialog. The Licences tab now lists only plugins and agent licences.
-
Additional enhancements have been made to the Classic User view under User Access Management:
- There are new columns displaying the user's email address and last login time.
- The "Tenant URL" column is now called "Tenant Name".
- When editing a Classic User, the Username field is now selectable to allow copying of the name.
