There are occasions where it may be prudent to run plugins less frequently than backups for the file and folder data. An example may be where you wish to run file and folder backups every evening, but only run a full System State backup once per week.
Plugins will only run via the default selection and schedule, and therefore in the above situation it is suggested that you deselect ‘daily automated backups’ and select the ‘Advanced schedule’ option for the default backup set, and then choose the appropriate time/s and day/s for the plugin backups to run. E.g. just run it on a Saturday evening. Then configure your desired plugin in the normal way.
Create a second backup set via the ‘Backup Schedule’ tab and click on the plus ‘+’ sign next to the backup set name at the top. Give the second backup set a relevant name, and then choose the ‘daily automated backup’ option to run daily backups. It is sensible to choose a different time from the default schedule to run the daily backups, so that they do not clash. Then in the ‘backup’ tab in the client select all the relevant data you need to protect.
The above example would then result in 7 daily file and folder backups, plus the additional System State backup once a week.
