The Email dashboard reporting for Redstor OLB Plus has a number of adaptations we can perform to enable it to fit your reporting needs. These fall under 4 categories
- Subject line
- Group/Partner email settings
- Notification schedule
- Dashboard content
The default Dashboard email will send an email to the address held in client's options under Preferences->General. (both shown below)
These will get sent to the frequency set in the client options at 7/8am (daylight savings dependant) and will have the subject line “Dashboard for <DeviceName>”.

As well as this default dashboard, further options are available. The main request we receive is to change the subject line to include further information. This can be very helpful for those with a large number of accounts and/or those with automated helpdesk systems that use or wish to use the dashboard emails to automatically open tickets for problem backups.
We can include a few options within the subject line, a few examples are below.
- Partner name
- Device name
- Machine name the client is installed upon
- Group the device resides in
- Backup success/failure identifiers
- Device used storage figure
Group/Partner email settings
An option for Partners (or those with multiple/tiered groups) is having all dashboard emails sent to a specific list of email addresses which can be set up so that all accounts within your group send emails to yourselves without having to specify it within each clients dashboard settings. Setting up further email addresses within the client still works and allows end users to set up their own reporting if wished or specific device reporting.
Finally, we can change the time that we send the email reports. There are a few changes we can do, for example:
- At a different time (1pm, 5am, etc) everyday
- Once a week (Friday 5pm or Monday 7am)
- Once a month (7am on the last day of the month)
- Every X hours
The content of the Dashboard email itself can be changed, however this is more complex so please contact us if you wish to change the dashboard content.
