Configuration templates can be used by a virtual portal administrator to pre-define Centrastor agent settings for users. Typically, this will involve selecting an alternative local folder for the "myfiles" portal folder to synchronise with.
How to create a template
As a user with administrator rights, log in to the virtual portal and from the "ADMINISTRATION" tab select Settings->Configuration Templates from the Navigation Pane.
Now select the "New Template" option to launch the configuration manager. From the side panel select the "Cloud Drive" icon to display the relevant settings.
Select the "Manage" link to allow access to the template's Cloud Drive settings
Tick the "Sync home folder" box then follow the settings link
Now select the local folder to sync
The environment variable $PRIMARYUSER can be placed in the path defining the location of the alternative local folder in the template. In a Windows context the variable will resolve to the Windows user's home directory.
For example, the setting above will synchronise the "myfiles" portal folder to a local folder on a Windows 7 PC with the path C:\Users\pesson\desktop\sync for the Windows user pesson.
Finally the template needs to be assigned to one or more devices. Locate the chevrons icon on the far right of the menu to reveal the Auto Assign option. Select Auto Assign to launch the configuration manager.
Now create a rule to determine which devices will be associated with the template
