The Cloud Drive agent is designed for two way synchronization of files and folders between devices. Installation of the agent is a simple process.
Step 1 - To download a copy of the agent log into the portal. This can be done as an administrator or as an end user.
Step 2 - Run the installer.
- Standard. The agent configuration will be shared by all users of the computer.
- Multi-User. The agent is installed for each user separately the first time that the user logs in to the computer. Each user has a completely independent and separate configuration and can even connect to a different device or portal than the other users. Each user’s agent remains connected to the cloud and continues to perform its scheduled synchronizations in the background, even when the user is not logged in.
Step 3 - Click Next to accept the user agreement.
Step 4 - Choose the installation folder and then click next.
Step 5 - Confirm and click next to install the agent.
Step 6 - Please wait while installation takes place.
Step 7 - To complete the installation please click "close".
Step 8 - Sign in to the portal using your login details. (Your Administrator will have provided these to you).
Step 9 - Setup Completed. You can now select data to be synchronized between the local device and the portal.
This can be done by right clicking on the agent system tray icon and then by clicking settings as shown here.
This will then bring you to the agent settings page where the synchronization settings can be defined.
Once the agent synchronization settings have been defined the agent will synchronize files and folders to the platform. Synchronization progress can be seen from the system tray agent menu as shown here.
