Archiving allows the backup client(s) to retain specified backup sessions indefinitely (for the life of the contract). This is in addition to standard retention. E.g. 60 days.
By default archiving is disabled. In order to utilise archiving the backup client needs to be using a product with "archiving" enabled. If you are unsure which product the backup client is using you can check by opening the client GUI and clicking on the "Redstor Online Backup Plus" tab (see screenshot).

Defining an Archive Schedule
Once a product that includes archiving has been applied you can then use the archiving tab within the client to setup an archive schedule. Preferences>Archiving. The archive schedule needs to based on an existing backup schedule and should be set to run prior to the backup schedule.

Once the schedule has been defined click "save". The next scheduled backup after this archive schedule will run as an archive backup; archive sessions will be identifiable within the restore tree prefixed with an "A". E.g. A 2/2/12, 5:01 AM.
