2024-03-14 | Microsoft Issues impacting RedApp and Console users in South Africa (RESOLVED)

Symptoms:  Users may be unable to login to RedApp or the Console from South Africa

Service Impact:  An Azure outage to South Africa North and South Africa West Azure regions has been reported by Microsoft.

Customers that use the zasp.pro.redstor.com or sp.pro.redstor.com platform addresses within South Africa will likely be affected.

Customers in South Africa that use a DNS service that resolves RedApp to unaffected Microsoft Azure regions may be unaffected.

SE and DL backups are also affected, whilst ESE clients should not be affected as these do not frequently request the platform addresses listed above.

Scope: South Africa RedApp and Console Access, and DL/SE backups.

Status: Resolved - Azure mitigation strategy in place.
