From v17.11, when deleting a MirrorServer, you will no longer receive a prompt asking:
“Do you want to remove all the mirrored accounts on the MirrorServer?”
Note: When using and older SP Console version, the prompt will still be shown but the action will be ignored by the StorageServer.
To remove any mirrored accounts, manually delete the folders or run a DeleteMirroredAccounts task on the MirrorServer:
- First determine the GUID of the StorageServer from where the account where mirrored:
- Browse to the settings.txt file of one of the mirrored accounts on the MirrorServer, e.g. C:\ProgramData\Redstor Backup Pro\SS_Service\Data\9ea13f01-d6ff-4a3d-8971-8f7a81d0d570, and look for the entry: HomeServerGuid=f9a36e15-ec3e-4a8b-aec6-f78303022e48
- Alternatively browse to and view the StorageServer’s settings.xml file e.g. C:\ProgramData\Redstor Backup Pro\SS_Service, and look for the entry: <ServerGuid>f9a36e15-ec3e-4a8b-aec6-f78303022e48</ServerGuid>
- Next create a text file with the extension .DeleteMirroredAccounts, e.g. DeleteMirroredAccounts
- Add in the text file, ServerGUID={the StorageServer GUID}, where the GUID is the one retrieved in step one, e.g.:
ServerGUID= f9a36e15-ec3e-4a8b-aec6-f78303022e48 - Save the file and drop it in the TaskQueue folder on the MirrorServer, e.g. C:\ProgramData\Redstor Backup Pro\SS_Service\TaskQueue
